We’ve all heard of it. May have had to support someone we love and care about go through it, may have lost someone to it or may have celebrated victories, either big or small, fighting against it.

Cancer.

With increasing lifespans, more adults and children are being diagnosed with cancer today than ever before. Thankfully, advancement in medicine and technology has made early detection possible, thus increasing survival rates. However, the road to survival is most often a long and hard battle paved with numerous visits to clinics and therapies, taking an emotional and physical toll on the person fighting this battle and their families, particularly when that person is a child.
 
Sid has created a special 'Daffodils' Memory Block that symbolizes rebirth, hope and new beginnings. Sid Dickens Inc. has also teamed up with a wonderful organization called Wigs For Kids whose mission is to:
 
“...improve the quality of life for kids dealing with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses and to provide a free wig for every B.C. child who needs one.”

Sid Dickens Inc. will donate 25% of proceeds* from the sale of T-509 Daffodils to Wigs for Kids from now through the month of April. The back of Daffodils Memory Block will be painted orange and signed by Sid Dickens. Your purchase of this special block will maximize our contribution to Wigs for Kids B.C. and help them realize their vision.

Memory Blocks are hand crafted plaster made in Vancouver, BC by artist, Sid Dickens. They are finished to a porcelain-like quality and cracked to create an aged look and feel. Each Memory Block is made from hand-poured plaster. Each tile is hand-painted by our artists who also apply different finishes, including silver and gold leafing. Memory Blocks are then hand-stained to ensure consistency of style through the different tiles.
