Inspired by the profile of Grandfather Mountain within the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, this original piece was made from a hand-carved wood block printed onto 100% cotton, acid-free paper with traditional oil-based printmaking ink. The reduction printing process was utilized on a single block to develop each of the six layers.
